kacpm History
Kensington & Chelsea Property Maintenance
We originally established Kensington & Chelsea Property Maintenance (kacpm) in 1991
and we are proud to celebrate 32 years of trading.
Since then we have grown from strength to strength, mainly based on the recommendations of our clients.
We’re sure you are all familiar with our white vans and the old kacpm logo that was white and green.
In 2007 the Western extension charge was brought in and we had to increase our
charges at that time to cover the Congestion Charges costs.
kacpm campaigned endlessly to stop the Congestion Charge including joining demonstrations and convoys to Parliament Square and writing letters of protest to Ken Livingstone who then was the Mayor of London.
We even appeared on ITV London Debate when there was a feature
about the Congestion Charge with Ken Livingstone and various ministers.
And we made the papers when Karen, co-owner of kacpm, walked out of the debate.
Boris Johnson, who went on to become Mayor of London, promised to scrap the Congestion Charge when he came to power (which he did).
When the Congestion Charge was scrapped, we were there to celebrate with Boris Johnson .
One month after the Western Extension Charge was dropped, without warning, all the Boroughs increased their parking fees, some as much as 50%. However we did not pass on the increased parking charge to our clients.
